Confidence construction

I need some self confidence about my work. I'm about to begin a project about the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening(long time coming) and every time I think I'm going to start it, I choke and divert my attention somewhere else. I mean, I have sketches down and everything, I just lack the confidence in my abilities to do what I want. It's frustrating and depressing.

Also, I've decided to clean up my friends list. Now, while I want to be all "I wanna be your buddy", some people on my little friends...thingee don't do anything at all. They don't comment and they don't favorite, they just watch me, so I don't see why I have them on here. They're hogging space from my friends and artists that DO comment and have nice art styles that I want to draw attention to. So, out they go.

I didn't manage to do that kind of thing on my own so I can't give much help.
I can only say that I'd love to see that Zelda-project-stuff, esp. with your style, which I think is great.

I'm surprised I made the list really. I'm not much of a journal commenter anyway.

I usually subtly drop people off my list over time and hope they don't notice. I certainly need to have a cleanout myself though.

I've found when you're feeling that lack of confidence, it helps to stop caring completely about whether or not it turns out good, and just DO whatever it is you've been holding yourself back from doing.

Also: Legend of Zelda on Ryebread? Sounds faaa-bulous! ;)

frustration is my boyfriend. i hung out with confidence once but then he never called.
but whatever. proceed without it.
i know nothing about zelda anymore but good luck with that project.

I just found your profile while doing some research for my next project and I must say that your portfolio is really incredible You really have a knack for nailing the retro/quirky horror genre. You should be very proud of your work and I can't wait to see what you do next.
